The new District 92

All of Virginia has been redistricted

Yes, you have a new district, everyone in the state has new House and Senate districts. And that also means that the entire General Assembly is up for election in 2023.

District 92 was formally part of District 89 (Delegate Jackie Glass-now running in District 93), District 77 (Delegate Cliff Hayes- now running in District 91), and a bit of District 90; so this is an open seat. All of the numbered voting precincts on the map are a part of the new 92nd District.

According to the data we have available, this district is extremely diverse, with needs and issues that cross the entire political spectrum. District 92 is interesting because it’s simultaneously the areas of highest and lowest wealth. Some of the safest neighborhoods and the most deadly. District 92 also encompasses a huge business district, containing Downtown, and Ghent; while also including Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University, Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Norfolk Campus of Tidewater Community College.

District 92 has a significant history that must be protected; from the Historic South Norfolk District to the St. Paul’s Church and beyond. District 92 is a culturally significant part of not only Virginia, but the history of our nation and must be respected and represented appropriately.
